The Holidays in Powell

There is just something about the holidays! If you are looking for some fun holiday happenings, you don't have to look far! Right down the road from Powell in Dublin sits Bridge Park in Dublin. Bridge Park boasts a large list of events and activities perfect to put you in the holiday mood. Bridge Park is offering a “12 Days of Bridge Park” with fun holiday themed events on every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday now until December 17. 

From several Santa visits to choose from to a festive ugly sweater themed bar crawl, there are events for all ages. Can’t make one of the specific days, no worries, head down to Bridge Park and take a stroll along the decorated streets and stop by to see one of three giant holiday trees.

Need more holiday lights in your life? You’re in luck, there is one option right outside of Powell, completely free. Lucy Depp Park Light Show is made up of 8 houses that spans 10 acres and with over 80,000 pixel lights you’ll be sure to be filled with the holiday spirit. The route covers ½ a mile and has over 8 miles of cables to make the entire show possible! Catch the show from Black Friday to the first week of January. Be sure to tune into a specific radio station to have the programmed music coordinate with the light show. Although this is a free show, be sure to support a cause close to their heart, Peace for Paws.
